Debra L. Nichols
Debra Nichols, a founding partner of Chronicle Family Offices, advocates for clients by establishing systems that help families accomplish their mission, and identifying and mitigating the risks that could be a detriment to achieving these goals. As a highly experienced operations and compliance professional, Debra ensures that projects are shepherded to completion with excellence.
Debra began her career at Brinson Partners, Inc. in Chicago in 1991. She gained expertise in strategic planning, relationship management, product development and marketing by creating the firm’s global asset management products including mutual funds, off shore funds, hedge funds and collective investment trusts. While working closely with clients, legal counsel, regulators, business partners and governing boards, Debra exhibited a commitment to completing projects on a grand scale and was named a partner in 1995. After a sale of the firm to Swiss Bank Corporation and a subsequent merger with UBS, she left the firm in 2000. With extensive experience in development, management and service as corporate officer and board member for investment portfolio structures, she then acted as a consultant and subject matter expert to other investment managers and boards of directors.
Debra is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan. She enjoys cooking, hiking, gardening, and reading fiction. She has four Coton de Tulears which also occupy much of her free time. Debra also serves as a Managing Director and as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of Lineage Trust Company, based in Reno, Nevada.
